My training and experience is that of  interior designer.  As such, I believe everyday functional objects come to life as people participate in cooking, serving, eating and drinking.  Useful objects can also be works of art, that continue to have a life of their own.  One piece might become the center piece at a dinner party.  Another may comfort a friend after a hard day.
